Marian Margaret (Huber) Mckechnie was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Rock Island, Illinois.
She was the fifth and youngest child of Albert and Alta Huber. She loved country life and riding horses. Her love of travel took her to many places.
She married and eventually ended up with seven children: Christal, Robin, John, Tammie (deceased), Eddie, Gary and Jennie. They provided her with 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She had a strong faith and was a member of the Centralia Seventh Day Adventist Church until her battle with dementia changed her living arrangements.
She didn't need much to make her happy, laughed easily and had a spitfire personality. Her unique personality will be greatly missed. Sleep easy as "Jesus is coming soon" (her favorite saying).
Marian's funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary.
