Juggler putting on daily shows at Southwest Washington Fair

Rhys Thomas’ Jugglemania is a family-friendly comedy juggling performance that will take place on the Community Stage every day of fair week.

Thomas has been honored with performances for the International Jugglers Association in the U.S., the European Juggling Convention in Denmark and the Daidogei Street Performers’ World Cup in Japan. According to his website, however, his greatest achievement is raising a family as an artist in America.

Thomas’ act combines hilarity and dexterity for an exciting and “clean” performance. With decades of success on theater and festival stages, at corporate events and on cruise ships — in 30 countries — Thomas has learned how to connect with any audience and tickle their funny bones.

Among Thomas’ many accomplishments, including opening for Weird Al Yankovich and Weird Al Gore, he says the real highlights are “serving as artist in residence at the Smithsonian Institution, journeying to remote Egyptian tombs to discover 4,000-year-old paintings of jugglers, riding his tall unicycle on the frozen Chukchi sea, juggling a gator in Arkansas, saving a crowd from a stampede, falling in love with a clever woman and raising two wonderfully creative daughters (who, yes, can juggle).”
