Jurassic World comes to OMSI with new Lego dinosaur exhibit

Posted

As you walk into OMSI’s new exhibit, you might find yourself humming the notes to the Jurassic Park theme song. It’s hard not to when the famous gates are the first thing visitors see. As with everything in the exhibit, they are made out of Lego.

“Jurassic World by Brickman” includes several large dinosaur sculptures, re-creations of scenes from the movies, and interactive build stations for adults and kids to create their own mini dinosaurs for display. The museum said that over six million Lego bricks were used for the exhibit.

The highlight of the baby dinosaur room is one of the biggest Lego sculptures ever built. According to OMSI, the baby Brachiosaurus uses over 170 thousand DUPLO bricks and weighs well over two tons.

Outside of the interactive build stations, there is a re-creation of the Jeep from Jurassic Park with a giant T-Rex ‘chasing’ it. The installation is a perfect photo op.

“Jurassic World by Brickman” is open from Saturday, March 15, through Monday, Sept. 1, 2025.

For OMSI members, the cost to experience the exhibit is $6.

General admission, including access to “Jurassic World by Brickman,” is $27 for adults, $22 for people ages 3-13 and $24 for those 63 and over.
