Kolb’s 30 Points Pushes Vikings Past Eagles

Keegan Kolb erupted for a 30-point scoring outburst and Mossyrock fended off Three Rivers Christian for a 53-42 home victory on Thursday.

Kolb, who’s averaging 27 points per game through the Vikings’ first three matches, also added five rebounds and seven steals on Thursday.

“He’s really stepping up,” Mossyrock coach Adam Deck said. “He’s been everything offensively for us.”

Senior Nayson West pulled down a team-high 15 rebounds, while sophomore Hunter Isom added 10 points and five rebounds on a red-hot 6 for 8 shooting.

Deck praised his team’s defense, which switched to man-to-man in the second half and foiled the Eagles’ comeback bid.

“We’re young and talented,” Deck said. “We just gotta keep getting better and follow the game plan.”
