Letter to the editor: A letter dealing with the arcane concept of reality

Posted

If you wake up and look out the window and it is dark, you know that it is night. If you wake up and look out the window and it is light, you know that it is day. These are examples of reality.

If gas was $2.69 per gallon, you know that it was 2019. If gas was $5 per gallon, it was 2022 and Joe Biden was president. If gas is $4.35 per gallon, you know that it is now, and Joe Biden is still president. and he has pointed out that the gas price has gone down.

Grocery prices are approximately 25% higher than they were in 2019.

In 2019, there was no war in Ukraine and in Israel. Today, there is a war in Ukraine and in Israel.

In 2019, inflation was under 3%. In 2022, when Joe Biden was president, inflation was 9%. Now it is around 4%, and the president notes that it came down. The increase in prices does not come down.

In 2020, while Donald Trump was president, President Trump did not interfere in the presidential election by using his Justice Department to indict Joe Biden 93 times.

While Donald Trump was president, the southern border was not crossed by millions of illegal aliens.  There was not as much fentanyl coming across the southern border and not so many drug overdose deaths in the U.S.

While Donald Trump was president, there were economic sanctions against Iran, and Iran was not attacking our ships and our troops.

I just wanted to list a few facts that represent reality.  This is not a complete list.
