Letter to the Editor: Biden Has Delivered Disaster as President

Posted

In response to Marty Ansley’s gushing over President Biden and his vitriolic attack on President Trump, he obviously gets his information from the Cartoon News Network (CNN) or one of the other left-wing news outlets, one of which (CNN) actually admitted that they had made up lies about President Trump in order to keep him from being re-elected.

President Biden is personally responsible for our current economic situation, and his effect on world politics, and America’s place in the world, has made us a laughing stock. He can’t be trusted to speak off the cuff because he generally doesn’t even know where he is.

He can’t be trusted to give interviews and never answers questions anymore. His handlers rush him away before he can speak. President Biden’s policies have created double-digit inflation, doubled gas prices, sold our oil reserves to our enemies, and has created a potential world war situation in Asia with his lack of leadership concerning Taiwan. And Asia holds no fear of reprisals and so has begun saber-rattling there.

His federal agencies have begun overreaching their authority in such issues as gas-powered tools and gas stoves. And did Congress approve our treaty on zero carbon emissions? President Biden’s instructions for all-electric vehicles by 2035 comes from his participation in that treaty “negotiations.” Of course, the left has ignored the environmental disaster about to come about because of that.

As for Mr. Ansley’s diatribe over President Trump, I’ll remind him that our borders were secure, illegal immigration was under control, our economy was sound, inflation was low, crime was low and our standing on the world stage was high.

Mr. Trump loves this country as no president since Ronald Reagan has. But I will say that I am not a fan of President Trump and hope that his reelection bid is unsuccessful. Unfortunately, he is not a politician, which created a lot of political turmoil in this country. The left, not being in control at the time, created the political climate Mr. Ansley complains about by allowing criminals to go free, the homeless to run rampant in our streets leaving litter, drug paraphernalia lying about and increased crime.

If you doubt this, take a look at Portland’s mess right now, a situation going even farther south through legislation there that even the homeless advocates say is outlandish and unproductive. And the populations of the blue states are leaving in droves because of the left’s programs and fleeing to — guess where — red states.

In our own state, our esteemed governor has thankfully declared he will not run for reelection. This potentially bodes well for our state, although I hold little hope for improvement given the voting records of Puget Sound and Spokane.

Perhaps given the current tax and spend programs of our current Legislature and political “leadership” those people will have realized that our only hope is bringing in some conservative majority who will not spend surpluses and instead return some of that money to the people that actually worked hard to earn it.
