As voters across Southwest Washington prepare to cast their ballots, we should be looking beyond party labels and political rhetoric and asking a more important question: Who has the experience, judgment and proven record to represent our communities in Congress?
For me, that person is John Braun. Having served in the Washington state Legislature for more than a decade, Braun brings experience in budgeting, public policy, business and leadership. He understands that government decisions have real consequences for working families, taxpayers and the communities they serve.
I value fiscal responsibility, constitutional protections, parental rights, public safety and preserving opportunities for the next generation.
Government functions best when it is limited, there is healthy debate, accountability and balance rather than unchecked political power.
As a mother of five, a longtime Centralia resident, and someone who has had the privilege of serving our community in an array of public office, elections mean a great deal.
I’ve seen firsthand how government decisions affect families, businesses, schools, and the financial stability of our communities. My priorities aren’t different than most. I want my children to inherit a country where opportunity is abundant, individual liberties are protected, families have a voice, and government lives within its means.
These aren’t talking points or have to be political weapons.
Elected officials don’t have to align with me on every issue. I do expect integrity, experience, sound judgment and the willingness to stand firm when difficult decisions must be made. John Braun will do that. We’ve seen it.
John Braun’s years of legislative service provide a substantial foundation for the responsibilities of Congress. He has proven to be prepared to bring that experience to Washington, D.C., and I am supporting him for Washington’s Third Congressional District.
Our representation matters now more than ever. Please, vote today and let’s put John Braun into Washington’s Third Congressional District.
