Letter to the Editor: Join Me in the Fight to End Cancer

Posted

My name is Tess Lund, and I’m writing to ask for your support in Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center’s goal to cure cancer.

On Aug. 12, I am participating in the Fred Hutch Obliteride, a bike ride or 5K fundraiser that aims to advance cancer prevention, detection, treatment and cures.

In 2021, I was diagnosed with Leukemia. The medical teams at Fred Hutch got me into remission and found a donor match for my bone marrow transplant. The care I received could not have been better, and I’m happy to report that I am a year and a half out from my transplant, and very happy to be healthy and home with my husband and son.

While we no longer reside in Lewis County due to my husband’s job in the Army, I visit home often, and am so thankful for the support we received from our incredible community during my treatment.

A small gift makes a big difference, and every donation is tax deductible! Please visit the link below to contribute to my team’s fundraiser.

Thank you for considering joining me in the fight to end cancer: https://bit.ly/Tess-Lund-Obliteride5K
