I’m not usually one to write letters to the editor or even put a post on Facebook, but it seems like it’s time for people to hear about the real Kelly Smith Johnston. I have known Kelly for well over 10 years and I’m honored to call her a friend. I have always been impressed with her work ethic and sensitivity toward others. She works harder than anyone else I know and has a true passion to make our city the best it can be.
I’m confused when I read all the negative things that have been written against her because it doesn’t line up with the person I know her to be. Kelly would be the first person to show up and help if I ever needed it. She’s calm, level headed and hilarious. She’s exactly the person we need to pull our city out of these challenging times.
Please don’t get all your information from Facebook. I encourage anyone who has doubts about who to elect for mayor to contact Kelly directly. She’s approachable and warm and would love to answer your questions. I would love for everyone to know the Kelly that I know.
