I am writing to support Tracy Murphy for Lewis County sheriff.
I grew up in the Boistfort Valley in Curtis. I returned this year after moving away over 40 years ago and having lived in five other states as well as living abroad.
I learned Lewis County, while not perfect, is a blessed place that has mostly kept its common sense. Since coming home, I have had the opportunity of getting to know Tracy, a steadfast, transparent person with common sense, and his devoted wife, Sherri, who are my relatives.
Sherri’s dad, George Gill, is my first cousin who is two days older than me, and our mothers, Albright sisters, shared the same hospital room after our births.
Tracy and Sherri are honest, authentic people, not pretenders.
Tracy has the proven law experience and leadership of over 35 years. He was selected as the winner of The Chronicle’s Best of Lewis County Law Enforcement Officer Award in 2025.
Tracy has a positive vision that focuses on bringing together our law enforcement agencies to partner cooperatively to create and maintain a safe and secure environment to protect our families, businesses and communities.
He will protect us as well as our rights and freedoms.
