The description of the event and the language itself does not reflect the reality of what is occurring — the fear of the abused animals, the fear of the children, the corruption of any possibility of developing a moral and empathic view of the world for children who are being taught in this event that animals are trash, that animals have no feelings, and that abuse of animals is OK, and that children should be given prizes for terrorizing animals.

Responsible journalism should try to make the world a better place — not reduce it to the lowest common denominator. How are people going to learn a better way of relating to others —animals and people — when you publish an article like this?
