Education is the bedrock of a strong community. On Feb. 13, voters should approve the Centralia School District’s replacement levy because our students deserve better schools.
When we support our schools, it shows the state that we truly care about the students. By voting yes, it shows that we care about students’ lives. A stronger school system makes for a stronger community.
I know a thing about strong schools because they saved my life. When I became homeless as a student, it was the support of my teacher and teachers aides that kept me successful.
In addition, the passage of this school levy will show potential businesses that we care about businesses by creating future workers and business leaders through our schools. The importance of good schools is established when voters support our local schools. So I urge Centralia voters to vote yes on the school levy Feb. 13.
