I am writing to express my support for my sister, Jessica Stickley, as she runs for Lewis County coroner.
The role of coroner requires a unique balance of professional knowledge, calm leadership, compassion and respect for grieving families. Jessica brings 15 years of experience and a strong background in death investigation, along with a commitment to community transparency and local suicide prevention efforts.
But beyond her professional qualifications, I know Jessica as the person she has always been throughout her life. Growing up as the youngest child, I always looked up to her as someone strong and dependable — the person I could turn to when I needed help, guidance or support. She has always been someone others can count on.
Jessica is an amazing mother, sister and partner. She cares deeply about the people in her life and the community around her. I believe that the same strength, dedication and compassion she has shown her family are qualities she would bring to the coroner’s office, especially when working with families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
I am proud of the woman Jessica has become and the experience she has built throughout her career. I know how much she cares, and I hope the people of Lewis County will take the time to learn about her qualifications, her dedication and her vision for the future of the coroner’s office.
As her sister, I am proud to stand beside her in this journey. I am proud of Jessica — not just for what she has accomplished professionally, but for the person she is every day.
