Letter to the editor: Thanks to those who made Girls Night Out a success

Posted

On April 27, another Girls Night Out event in downtown Centralia went in the books.

We’d like to thank the many people that make this event such a fun event to put together and share the evening with us. It’s always fun to see them having such a good time.

This was our 34th Girls Night Out since 2008, and thanks for our 2024 spring success go to:

• The 33 businesses in downtown Centralia that welcomed the attendees and made the experience fun for everyone, as well as donating items specific to their businesses for the promotional baskets.

• The 239 ladies who attended and had a good time shopping and visiting the shops with their family and friends.

• The local businesses, several outside of the main downtown core, that donated a variety of baskets for the attendees to buy tickets for and hope to be the lucky one to be chosen for that item — 100% of the proceeds go directly to Hope Alliance (formerly The Human Response Network).

• The Station powered by Lewis County Coffee and their wonderful staff who work with us as our starting point and all they do promoting Girls Night Out.

We have been pleased to share $2 of each $5 event entry fee with Hope Alliance, which is such an important organization in our area.
