Letter to the Editor: Vote Smiley for Senate

Posted

I am writing to urge voters to cast their ballot for Tiffany Smiley for U.S. Senate.

The voters in our state have an opportunity to elect a more vigorous, younger senator who is in touch with the real world.

Patty Murray, “a mom in tennis shoes,” has been in the Senate for 30 years and I cannot think of any significant issue she has proposed that helped Washington or the country. She has voted for a host of issues that give the government more control over our lives and economy.

Murray has watched crime increase, drug use and deaths explode, a border opening that resulted in illegal drugs flooding the country as well as illegal border crossers stressing the economy. She has supported policies restricting fossil fuels that are causing inflation throughout the economy. There has been no leadership at all from the senator on any issue.

Tiffany Smiley has dealt successfully with the Army and government when her husband was blinded by a roadside bomb while serving our country. She refused to let the Army discharge him so they would not have to deal with his condition. She had the spunk, knowledge and ability to successfully protect his and his family's interests.

Again, we have an opportunity to elect as senator a more vigorous person in touch with the majority of our state. Vote for a change for the better.

Vote for Tiffany Smiley for U.S. Senate.
