Lewis County will have its first inclusive career fair this spring, according to a Lewis County Autism Coalition news release.

Centralia College will host the career fair in the TransAlta Commons on Wednesday, April 26, from 1 to 3 p.m.; a lunchtime workshop for employers will be hosted before the fair begins.

While all are invited to attend, individuals who are neurodiverse, have developmental disabilities or differences, high schoolers on an individualized education program or 504 plan and anyone who has had difficulties finding employment through the typical application process are strongly encouraged to attend.

This inclusive career fair is being hosted in partnership with the Economic Alliance of Lewis County and the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce.

Employers seeking to participate in this career fair can sign up online at https://www.lcautism.org/ or by emailing info@lcautism.org and requesting a registration form. Both registration and the lunch workshop before the fair are free for employers.

During the workshop, employers will learn about the elements of inclusive hiring, including business benefits and supportive employment.

Fair attendees are encouraged to bring multiple resume copies for employers, and volunteers will be available to provide resume editing and advice.

Centralia College is located at 600 Centralia College Blvd.
