Lewis County Historic Bike Ride Set for May 13

Posted

The Chehalis-Centralia Optimist Club has opened registration for the annual Lewis County Historic Bike Ride, which is set to get rolling on May 13.

There are several options for bicyclists to choose from. The 12.5-mile Family Ride will cost $35 per family. The 50-mile ride — described by organizers as a “great moderate ride for those who haven’t ridden in a while” — is $35 per person. For those looking to test their abilities, the 70-mile ride can be entered at a cost of $45 per person. Finally, there is a 107-mile ride that is also $45 per person. It’s described as “great prep for (Seattle to Portland Classic) and other long range or challenging rides.”

For tandem riders, the stoker rides free. All children under 18 who ride with a paying adult can participate for free. There will be three rest stops and an “end-of-ride get together.”

The ride can be used as a fundraiser for clubs and organizations. All funds collected by a rider for a separate fundraiser will belong to that club or organization. The base entry fees will be paid to the Chehalis-Centralia Optimist Club.

To register, send payments to Registrar LCHBR, P.O. Box 183, Chehalis, Washington, 98532. Payments are not refundable or transferable.
