Lewis County Property Tax Payments Due by May 1

The first half payments of 2023 property taxes are due by May 1, according to a news release from the Lewis County Treasurer’s Office. 

Taxpayers have four payment options including: 

• Online by visiting https://lewiscountywa.gov/offices/treasurer/pay-taxes-online/. Credit card transactions carry a 2.25% transaction fee, debit payments carry a flat $3.50 fee and electronic checks have a flat $0.90 fee. 

• In person by visiting the Treasurer’s Office in the Lewis County Courthouse at 351 NW North St. in Chehalis between 8 a.m. and noon or 1 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Credit card transactions carry a 2.25% transaction fee and debit payments carry a flat $3.50 fee.



• In a secured drop off box located on the first floor foyer of the Lewis County Courthouse near the Treasurer’s Office, or the secured drop box outside of the courthouse’s northern entrance located at 351 NW North St. in Chehalis. 

• Through the mail by sending a check or money order to the Lewis County Treasurer, P.O. Box 509, Chehalis, WA 98532. Mailed payments must be postmarked by May 1. 

Deadline to submit payments that aren’t being mailed is 4:30 p.m. on May 1. Late fees and penalties will be applied to late payments.
