The Lewis County Board of Health (BOH) is seeking Lewis County residents interested in serving on the Public Health and Social Services (PHSS) Advisory Board, a volunteer board that advises the BOH on issues affecting community health, environmental health and social services across Lewis County.
The 13-member board provides an opportunity for residents to share lived experience and professional expertise to help inform local programs, policies and services, according to a BOH news release.
The BOH is accepting applications to fill the medical provider position. The position is open to any Lewis County resident with an interest in public health and social services who has experience as a licensed health care provider. The appointment will fill an existing vacancy with a term expiring Dec. 31, 2028.
The advisory board meets at 4 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month in the Board of County Commissioners’ Hearing Room in the Lewis County Courthouse, located at 351 NW North St. in Chehalis. Meetings may also be attended virtually.
