Lewis County Woman Celebrates 100th Birthday

Louise Carpenter turned 100 years old on April 15.

Carpenter, a former Toledo resident who now lives in a retirement community in Chehalis, spent her career working for the U.S. Postal Service.

Carpenter has lived her 100 years of life to the fullest, spending time on activities she enjoys, including golfing, travel and playing at casinos, according to her family.

Carpenter is blessed with a loving family. Through her husband of 24 years, Eugene Carpenter, she has one daughter, Gloria, who lives in Southwest Washington.



She has two grandsons, David and Matthew, and three great-granddaughters, Alyssa, Madison and Brianne. Carpenter is also the aunt of Lynn and Phil, of Port Angeles. Carpenter celebrated her birthday in a private gathering with family and close friends.
