The Liberty Quartet, based in Boise, Idaho, will perform a free concert in Winlock this weekend.

The concert will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at Christian Fellowship of Winlock, 630 Cemetery Road. While there is no cost to attend, there will be an offering.

Liberty Quartet is a gospel group with a full-time concert schedule. The members are Royce Mitchell, bass; Will Arasmith, baritone; Paul W. Ellis, lead; Doran Ritchey, piano and baritone; and Peyton Olive, tenor.

Olive is a new addition to the group since they were last in Winlock in 2023.

Liberty travels many miles each year, ministering in performances for churches, nursing homes, prisons and other ministries, the group stated in a news release. They sing at conventions such as Southwest Gospel Music Festival and Great Western Fan Festival.

"The guys cherish the opportunity to connect with people and make new friends wherever they go,” Liberty Quartet stated in a news release. “They have had the opportunity to share the platform with groups such as Gaither Vocal Bank, Legacy Five, Greater Vision, The Booth Brothers, The Hoppers, The Collingsworth Family and many others. While featuring everything from high-energy performances to moments of contemplation, Liberty always leads the congregation in an incredible concert of worship. Whether or not you are a fan of Southern Gospel music, you will certainly enjoy the enthusiasm these men exhibit while serving and singing to the Lord. Their ministry bridges all generations, bringing enjoyment to traditional and contemporary venues."
