Candidates for local office will again gather for a debate next week ahead of the general election in November.

The debate, organized by the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce, will include candidates for both Lewis County commissioner seats and the Lewis County Public Utility District (PUD) Commission. These include Republican Sean Swope and Democrat Damian Bean, who are battling to represent District 1, and Republicans Lindsey Pollock and Christina Riley, who are seeking to represent District 2.

Lewis County PUD commissioner candidates Dave Fenn and Angie Brown will also be in attendance.

The event will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, on the second floor of O’Blarney’s in Centralia at 221 N. Tower Ave.

The chamber will accept two audience questions for each position. Questions must be submitted in writing. Beginning at 11 a.m., index cards will be available for audience members to submit questions. Questions will be selected at 11:25 a.m.

Last month, the candidates gathered for a debate at Centralia College hosted by The Chronicle. The event, which included prepared and audience questions, can be viewed on The Chronicle's Facebook page.
