The Onalaska girls soccer team took its league matchup over Ocosta at home Wednesday, downing the Wildcats 2-0 in Central 2B League play.

Jaelyn Auman got the scoring started for the Loggers (3-2, 1-0 C2BL) early, scoring in the eighth minute off an assist from Leighton Underhill.

The lead would stay slim at just the one goal for nearly the rest of the match, before Abby Ellis finally gave Onalaska some breathing room with an insurance goal in the 78th.

Hailee Brown kept her second clean sheet in a row in net, coming away with eight saves. In front of her, Kaiyah Sandridge made 17 interceptions on defense, while Kate Zandell had eight, and Kiley Talley had seven clearances.

Onalaska will head across the mountains to Yakima for one final non-league test Saturday, facing defending state champs Okanogan in a neutral-site match.
