Loggers roll past Ravens, advance to district semifinals

For the seventh district tournament in a row, Onalaska is through to the semifinals.

The Loggers punched their ticket in emphatic fashion on their home field on Tuesday, racing past Raymond-South Bend 7-0 in the first round of the 1B/2B District 4 Tournament.

Greta Oien and Kaiyah Sandridge both scored twice in the first half, and Randi Haight added a goal to make it 5-0 at the break.

Haight scored her second in the second half, and Kate Zandell added a goal of her own in the game’s final minutes.

Sandridge added three assists, Oien finished with two, Emily Hicks made two saves in net, and Jaelyn Auman had 14 interceptions defensively.

The Loggers (9-7-1) will travel to Tenino on Thursday night to take on Napavine in a winner-to-state semifinal. The loser will need to win an elimination game on Saturday to clinch a state berth.
