The Onalaska volleyball team notched its fifth win in a row on Tuesday, sweeping Mossyrock 25-14, 25-10, 25-11.

Emalie Jacoby led the offense with 20 kills with a hitting efficiency mark of .826, while Faith Hammer added eight kills and Sommer Hammer finished with six.

Braelyn Babb dished out 18 assists, and Jacoby added 10 of her own.

Ellie Jacoby led the defensive effort with 16 digs, and Emalie Jacoby finished with 14, finishing with double-digits in three different statistical categories.

Sommer Hammer added three aces and two blocks, while Faith Hammer had three blocks and Karsyn Koenig added two.

As a team, the Loggers had just three serve receive errors on 24 attempts. Leading the way on serve receive was Capri McGraw and Ellie Jacoby, who both only had one error apiece.

“It was a good night, and we executed very well and played with high intensity,” Onalaska coach Susan Gordon said. “I do believe our intensity was brought to a higher level as our bench was loud and kept us pushing even harder.

“I believe people forget about the importance of those players,” Gordon continued. “They push the starters all week, and they push themselves to be better. Then on game nights, they push those in front of them to be the best that they can be.  That is the meaning of selfless and team. They were great tonight.”

Gordon commended Alexandra Jarvis and Lainey Marko for “leading the charge” on the bench.

Onalaska (11-1, 4-0 C2BL) will host Rainier on Thursday, the same night that Mossyrock (7-7, 2-3 C2BL) will head to Toutle Lake.
