A small victory of winning the second half was one of the handful of improvements the Onalaska High School boys soccer team saw in a 4-2 loss to Stevenson in a Trico League tilt on Wednesday night on the road.

Brady Noland scored his sixth goal of the season in the first half for the Loggers (0-10, 0-10) and assisted on a second half goal, scored by Adrian Garcia. Akel Iverson also recorded an assist. Stevenson’s four goals were all scored by Wilhelm Klier in the first half.

Isaiah Leal marked Klier for the entire second half and didn’t let another goal through. Christopher James recorded seven saves for Onalaska, who will face Fort Vancouver on Friday night.

“I am definitely proud of the boys’ effort and they were motivated to see the small victories in this match,” Loggers head coach Luis Magana said. “All we can do is keep working hard. This team has so much potential and they keep hearing that.”
