Loggers take down Toledo mid-standings C2BL clash

The Onalaska girls basketball team earned itself a crucial road win in Central 2B League action Monday, beating Toledo 34-27 in Cheese Town.

Emalie Jacoby led the Loggers with 13 points, while Ryah Stanley led the Riverhawks with 11.

Onalaska held Toledo in single-digits in all four quarters, including to just four points in the first. The Riverhawks went a measly 1 for 17 from beyond the arc, and 12 for 68 from the field.

Kailea Lairson had eight rebounds to lead Toledo on the glass.

Toledo still sits in fifth place in the C2BL despite the loss, but the victory puts Onalaska a half-game above Kalama and Morton-White Pass for sixth.

The Loggers are set to face Rainier on Tuesday, then MWP on Thursday, while Toledo wll get its own matchup with the Mountaineers on Thursday.
