The Onalaska softball team got back in the win column on Tuesday, topping Mossyrock 10-1 in a non-league meeting in Onalaska.

The Loggers scored in every inning but one, including two runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth inning.

“Our girls played really well tonight,” Onalaska coach Brette Strodemier said. “We tried a few different things and moved some kids around, and they stepped up to the challenge.”

Jaelyn Auman drilled her second home run of the season, added a triple, and drove in four runs, while Renzy Marshall also hit a home run and scored twice. Randi Haight added two hits and two RBIs as well.

“The girls did well at the plate tonight,” Strodemier said. “They were getting on base and finding a way to get runs on the board.”

Auman pitched the first two innings without allowing a run, and freshman Chloe Haag made her varsity pitching debut in the third. She pitched the final five innings, allowing just one run.

Her defense made plenty of plays behind her, including a double play to end the fourth.

Hailey Allen drove in Mossyrock’s lone run of the game with an RBI single in the fourth, Annika Ball added a double, and both Adrianna Morales and Sadi Rashoff added hits.

Mossyrock (3-4) will head to Napavine on Thursday, while Onalaska (4-2) will head to Rainier on Friday.
