Man dead in SeaTac shooting involving King County sheriff’s deputy

A King County sheriff’s deputy was involved in a shooting that left a 33-year-old man dead Sunday night in SeaTac, according to Renton police.

It was not immediately made clear how the deputy was involved in the shooting, but Renton police said there was an altercation that resulted in gunfire and the death of a 33-year-old male.

The King County sheriff’s office said it was “involved in an incident” Sunday evening around South 192nd Street and 16th Avenue South.



The shooting occurred at the intersection just after 10 p.m., Renton police said, but details about the shooting were limited Monday morning.

Renton police were heading up the Valley Independent Investigative Team, which will investigate the shooting.
