Man Injured in RV Explosion in Galvin on Sunday

A man sustained burns while escaping a fifth-wheel RV explosion and fire on Joppish Road in Galvin on Sunday. 

Riverside Fire Authority and American Medical Response were dispatched to the incident at 7:48 p.m. on April 3 and quickly extinguished the fire and shut down the RV’s propane system, according to a news release from Riverside. 

The man received immediate medical care at the scene and was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital.



Responding EMS personnel had checked the availability of air ambulance helicopters, but none could fly due to poor weather conditions, according to the news release. 

The cause of the explosion and fire is under investigation.
