The identity, cause and manner of death for a man fatally shot in July have been released by the Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office.

Antonio Lucas Huerta, 59 of Graham, died from multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of his death was a homicide, according to the medical examiner in a news release.

Huerta was killed during a family gathering on July 2. He was allegedly shot by his nephew, Raul Alberto Lozano Lucas, 19. Lucas had made allegations that his sister had been sexually abused by Huerta, court records show.

Pierce County sheriff's deputies arrived at a home in the 19900 block of 114th Avenue East to find Lucas held down by family members. There was allegedly a black pistol near his feet. Huerta was being assisted by other family members as he had several gunshot wounds and no pulse, according to a previous News Tribune article.

Medical personnel declared Huerta dead at the scene, the article said.

Lucas was charged with first-degree murder by the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. Lucas' pretrial hearing is scheduled for Sept. 28 at 8:45 a.m. at Pierce County Superior Court.

Lucas' is in custody at Pierce County Jail on a $1 million bail.
