A man who stole a car with a baby inside last month is still at large, Lacey police said in a social media post on Monday.

On the night of June 26, the 19-year-old suspect stole the car from a gas station on College Street Southeast, according to police. The suspect is Zachary Beausoleil, who faces possible charges of second-degree kidnapping and auto theft, according to police. Police say he is known to visit Thurston and Mason counties.

The Olympian typically doesn't name suspects before they appear in court, but in this case the man remains at large and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

About 9:20 p.m. June 26 at a College Street gas station, a man reported someone got into his silver 2000 Honda Accord and drove off with his 7-month-old baby still inside, The Olympian reported.

With the help of a passerby in a car, the victim tried to chase the vehicle on southbound I-5, according to The Olympian.

The car was later ditched on the Woodland Trail. The infant was found unharmed and asleep.
