The WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composters have announced that they will host a Repair and Sustainability Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Chehalis Outfitters, 1757 N. National Ave, Chehalis.

Volunteer fixers will be present to repair and teach how to repair clothing, small electronics, appliances, lamps and other housewares, small lawnmowers and other small engines, as well as sharpen knives and tools, and more.

Repairable items are limited by the number and skills of volunteer fixers.

Also at the event will be information and resource tables, including a Timberland Regional Library table, a kids craft and activity table and a free stuff swap table, along with door prizes and more.

“Reduce landfill waste, save money, and learn new skills at this free community event!” a news release stated.

Volunteer fixers are needed, as well as volunteers for setting up, checking in guests and other event support.
