Mat Rats Rebooted Wrestling impressed at the NW Takedown Championships in Bremerton over the weekend, taking second.
The team finished with 174.5 team points, 21 behind champion NWWC, but more than 100 points ahead of Thunder Mountain Wrestling Club, which rounded out the top three.
Ten wrestlers — Hayden Templeton (K–5th, 47), Jaxon Martinez (K–5th, 55), Myryn Phillips (K–5th, 66), Camryn Reeson (K–5th, 97), Carter Hedden (6th–8th, 93), Olive Halsey (6th–8th, 141), Hayden Templeton (K–5th, 51), Jaxon Martinez (K–5th, 63), and Myryn Phillips (6th–8th, 71) — won their respective brackets.
Six more — Evalyn Martinez (K–5th, 66), Victor Maumasi (K–5th, 97), Skylar Powell (6th–8th, 108), Julie Mackenzie (6th–8th, 141), Charlie Wheeler (6th–8th, 120), and Kale Kinerk (6th–8th, 141) — finished second.
And seven Mat Rats — Kane Ragsac (K–5th, 63), Evalyn Martinez (K–5th, 70), Elliot Halsey (K–5th, 80), Michael Rice (6th–8th, 93), Julie Mackenzie (6th–8th, 141), Emmalin Rubey (6th–8th, 100), and Charlie Wheeler (9th–12th, 124) — took third.
