Nestled on a lakeshore in the foothills to the southwest of Mount Rainier, the Mineral Lake Lions Club announced its new board members and officers in a news release issued earlier this month.
“The new leadership team was installed July 8, 2026, during a gathering at Lavender Passion Flower Farm in Mineral. The property is owned by Lions (Club) members Kerry and Tina Moore,” the release stated. “Emerson Bishop of the Sumner Lions Club conducted the installation ceremony, helping the club begin another year of service to Mineral and the surrounding communities.”
The Mineral Lake Lions Club 2026-2027 executive officers and board of directors includes:
• Steve Mayer, president and Lions Club International Foundation coordinator
• Tina Moore, vice president
• Mike Gordon, secretary
• Dick Hopkins, treasurer
• Starla Mayer, media and marketing chair and director
• Tom Searl, membership chair and director

“The new board will continue the club’s long tradition of neighbors helping neighbors through service. Its work includes supporting local families, youth programs, scholarships, community events, vision programs, disaster relief and the Mineral Daily Bread Food Bank,” the release added.
The club also maintains and manages the Mineral Lake Lions Den Campground, located along the southern shore of Mineral Lake. Along with hosting community events throughout the year including a summer concert series, various holiday dinners and Mineral’s Fourth of July fireworks show, the campground also hosts the famous annual Mineral Lake Fishing Derby.
