The newly-renovated Mineral Lake Lions Den Campground will host a local musician on the “Crawdad Stage” at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, for an event titled “Music Down in the Fishing Hole.”

Lifelong performer Becky Rowe started singing in church in Elbe, just up the road from Mineral.

Influenced by artists such as Tom Petty and Jack Johnson, Rowe’s sound mixes elements of acoustic pop with the rhythms of old country.

The show is free for campers and tickets are $5 for the public.

“Located on the south shore of Mineral Lake, we offer a family-friendly campground. We have campsites with water and electricity as well as primitive campsites for those wanting a more rustic camping experience,” a Facebook post from the campground stated. “Boat launch and mooring is now free for guests staying with us. Mooring is on a first-come, first-served basis.”

The grounds will be open for camping until Nov. 31.
