Echo Taylor, a Morton local and junior at Insight School of Washington (ISWA), is helping redefine what student engagement looks like in a virtual learning environment through her role as ISWA’s High School Associated Student Body (ASB) secretary, a recent ISWA news release stated.

Taylor enrolled at ISWA in late 2024 after searching for a school option that offered a more balanced approach to support her learning style, according to the release. She enjoys creative writing and psychology and recently took an extracurricular criminal justice course as she explores her goal of becoming a detective.

Recently, Echo helped plan and host a virtual movie night featuring “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” bringing together about 20 students from across Washington state for trivia and chat discussions. The event was a success, and the ASB team is already planning their next virtual statewide gathering, the release stated.

Echo and her fellow ASB leaders are also beginning work on ISWA’s 2026 in-person prom, an event she plans to attend in Puyallup. Outside of school, Echo stays busy running for the local track team and plays marimba and flute in Morton’s band program.
