Members of the Mossyrock Area Action League (MAAL) are preparing for the 20th annual Mossyrock Blueberry Festival.

The community extravaganza set to start Thursday, July 30, in the rural community also known as the Heart of Lewis County with a bingo fundraiser event for the Mossyrock Area Historical Society.

“Gear up, Mossyrock! The 20th Annual Mossyrock Blueberry Festival is officially leveling up to SUPER status this year, and we have a jam-packed weekend of fun waiting for you,” MAAL representatives said on the festival’s Facebook page.

Bingo is far from all that is planned, as the Mossyrock Road Rebels Car and Motorcycle Show is also returning along with the wiener dog races, Wenatchee Youth Circus, a blueberry pie-eating contest, live music, a parade and more.

And, of course, the Mossyrock Blueberry Festival will feature plenty of blueberries grown by local farmers.

For those looking to try their luck at bingo, the games start at 7 p.m. inside the Mossyrock Community Center, located at 219 E. State St. Players must be at least 18. Bingo sheets are available for six cards at $18, with cash prizes up for grabs.

On Friday, July 31, the festival kicks off at Klickitat Prairie Park behind the community center, with a vendor and food truck market scheduled to be open from 3 to 10 p.m.

Also at the park on Friday, live music will be performed at the amphitheater with country and blues artist Cody Bartels starting at 4 p.m., followed by songwriter and acoustic guitarist Noah Delos Reyes at 6 p.m., and the Todd Seals & Baird Creek band at 8 p.m.
