Mossyrock man accused of stealing all items from self-serve farm stand

A 56-year-old Mossyrock man is facing a felony criminal charge after allegedly stealing all items from a self-serve farm stand in 2025.

Jeffrey Todd Larson made a video appearance in Lewis County Superior Court Tuesday from the Lewis County Jail after being arrested on a warrant.

Lewis County Pro Tem Court Commissioner Kathryn Eyraud set his bail at $10,000 unsecured, meaning he can leave the jail without posting bail as long as he follows the conditions of release and appears for future court proceedings in the case.

Larson faces one count of second-degree theft, a Class C felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Larson was arrested on the 2025 warrant after he failed to respond to a summons. On Tuesday, his defense attorney said he never received the notice, which was sent to an address in Centralia while he resided in Mossyrock.

Larson has 11 prior felony convictions and has had 39 warrants for his arrest.

The alleged theft was first reported on July 20, 2025, when a deputy responded to the 600 block of Cinebar Road. The victim, Landon Huntting, of The Huntting's Pumpkin Patch and Haunted Forest, reported that when he checked the farm stand, all items had been taken and there was no money left in the lockbox provided for payments.

“The items listed by Huntting included bags of freeze-dried candy, fruit, chicken, duck eggs, and homemade candles worth $843,” an affidavit of probable cause filed by prosecutors states. “Huntting provided (the deputy) with two videos which captured the only vehicle, a Saturn Ion, that pulled up to the farm stand during the time in question. The sole male occupant of the vehicle exited the vehicle and approached the stand. The video does not capture the theft as its angle prevented it from doing so. The male was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, blue sweatpants, and dark slip-on style shoes.”

Later that day, deputies located a Saturn Ion at Stan Hedwall Park in Chehalis, noting that it appeared to be the vehicle from the videos. The man with the vehicle was identified as Larson, who was wearing the same clothes as the suspect in the videos.

“Deputies looked inside the vehicle and observed packaging that was the same packaging Mr. Huntting uses to sell his freezedried fruit in,” the affidavit states. “Larson was questioned about the theft and denied being involved but continued to talk about a traumatic brain injury he had suffered and how he couldn't remember what had happened more than 10 minutes prior. Given this information, the vehicle was seized as evidence. Larson had walked away from the vehicle and was located a short distance away sitting on the side of the road. Larson was covered in foliage and sweating as if he had been running. Larson was detained but eventually released pending a search of the vehicle.”

Two days later, on July 22, deputies served a warrant on the vehicle and located three product bags with “The Huntting’s” merchandise labels attached. Larson’s wallet was also found in the vehicle, along with his driver’s license.

“Also found in the vehicle was a small bag of what officers recognized based upon their training and experience, as methamphetamine,” the affidavit states.

Larson isn’t facing any criminal charges in relation to the drugs.

His arraignment and trial setting hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
