Mossyrock man dies after motorcycle crash on I-5

The Washington State Patrol is investigating the death of a 60-year-old Mossyrock man who reportedly lost control of his motorcycle on Interstate 5 in Cowlitz County Sunday afternoon.

The man, whose name was withheld pending the notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene.



According to the state patrol, the man was traveling southbound near exit 22 at about 1:25 p.m. Jan. 18 when his 2004 BMW K1200 struck a cable barrier, ejecting him from the motorcycle.

The man was reportedly wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. The state patrol indicated no drugs or alcohol were involved.
