Daniel S. Sharp, 50, of Lake Oswego, Oregon, was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver after the motorcycle he was driving struck a deer while traveling along state Route 505 east of Toledo at about 2:16 p.m. Sept. 20.
According to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol, Sharp was traveling north on the highway at Dowling Road when he struck the deer, left the road and hit a guardrail. His motorcycle, a 2015 Suzuki V-Strom, came to a stop on the shoulder of the road.
Sharp was reportedly wearing a helmet. No drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
The extent of Sharp’s injuries were not disclosed.
