Despite missing three players, the Rainier volleyball team dominated in Winlock on Tuesday, sweeping the Cardinals 25-16, 25-13, 25-9 in a C2BL matchup.

“We played great and everyone pulled together as a team to help bring home the win,” Rainier coach Carrie Ooms said.

Brooklynn Swenson was lights out serving the ball, nearly hitting double-digits with nine aces. Olivia Earsley was also stellar from the service line, notching seven aces of her own. She also led the team defensively with 26 digs.

Haleigh Hanson and Allyson Ooms led the Mountaineer offense, recording nine and eight kills, respectively.

The Mountaineers (7-3 2-1 C2BL) have won three of their last four games, with the lone loss coming in five sets at Toutle Lake. They’ll look to make it four of five on Thursday at home against Kalama.

As for the Cardinals (6-5, 1-3 C2BL), they’ve struggled in league play, and they’ve lost three in a row and four of five overall. They’ll look to get back on track on Thursday at Toledo.
