Two Local Students Graduate from Lackland Air Force Base
Air Force Airman Christopher M. Chappell and Air Force Airman Jordan H. Shepherd both graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
Chappell is the son of Dave Chappell, Centralia, and a 2006 graduate of W.F. West High School, Chehalis.
Shepherd is the son of Brett and Susan Shepherd, Chehalis, and a 2004 graduate of W.F. West High School.
The airmen completed an intensive eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Centralian Graduates as Veterinarian
Lillian Ashley Ritter, 2002 graduate of Centralia High School, recently graduated from Washington State University as a doctor of veterinary medicine.
Dr. Ritter is now working at Cascade West Veterinary Hospital, Centralia, where she specializes in small and large animal medicine.
