Spurred by Cal Bullock’s efforts on the mound and four insurance runs in the top of the seventh, the Tigers remained perfect in the C2BL with a 10-6 triumph over the Ducks on Monday night in Toutle.
Bullock went six innings and struck out eight, limiting Toutle Lake to just three baserunners. The right-hander got plenty of early run support with a run in the first and third innings, two apiece in the fourth and fifth.
Napavine (5-0, 4-0 C2BL) saw Bullock and Tommy Deebach rope back-to-back RBI singles in the four-run seventh. It ended up being the difference after Toutle Lake scored sixth in the bottom half and got to three pitchers for the Tigers.
Grady Wilson registered two hits, including a double, while Bullock and Beckett Landram each drove in two runs and stole a base. The Tigers worked 10 walks against four Toutle Lake pitchers. The two teams will meet again on Wednesday night.
