Napavine students lace up, raise $20,000 during fun run fundraiser

Napavine students in kindergarten through sixth grade came together on Saturday, Oct. 16, for the first Napavine Fun Run, organized by the Napavine Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

The event brought students together for a day of activity, school spirit and fundraising to support programs and opportunities that benefit students throughout the school year.

Every student in grades kindergarten through sixth grade participated in the Fun Run and earned a commemorative T-shirt.

Families and supporters were invited to contribute through direct donations or by pledging a certain amount for each lap their student completed.

Funds raised through the event help support a variety of school needs, including field trips, school activities, teacher and staff appreciation, student rewards, and other needs that arise throughout the year.

These funds help provide enriching experiences for students while supporting the staff and programs that make a difference in their daily school lives.

To encourage participation and fundraising, students who raised money were eligible to earn a variety of prizes.

The school community also had the opportunity to work toward fun, schoolwide incentives, including Crazy Hair Day and the chance to “Pie the Principal.”

The first annual Napavine Fun Run gave students, families and the school community an opportunity to work together toward a common goal. Through their participation and generosity, students helped support the activities, experiences and resources that make their school year more engaging and memorable.

The Napavine PTA stated that it appreciates the students, families and supporters who contributed to making school activities and opportunities possible for Napavine students.
