The Tigers were in position to play a full seven-inning game, until they plated 13 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to walk away with a dominant 20-4, five-inning triumph over the Mountaineers on Monday at home.
Up four entering the fourth, the first 13 Tigers to step up to the plate reached base to start the inning, and the first out still brought home a run via a sacrifice fly.
Carter Edmonds led the way with three hits and five runs batted in, Eric Bullock drove in three runs, and Beckett Landram, Cal Bullock, Hudson Chambers, Tommy Deebach, Chase Shea drove in two runs apiece.
On the mound, Cal Bullock allowed three runs (two earned) while striking out six in four innings of work, while Chambers struck out three and gave up a run in his lone inning on the bump.
Yazama Gurnsey, Blake Fennel, and Wyatt Cughan each went 2 for 3 for the Mountaineers, and they each drove in a run.
Napavine (8-1, 7-1 C2BL) will head to Pe Ell to face Pe Ell/Willapa Valley on Tuesday, while Rainier (2-4, 2-4 C2BL) will host Onalaska on Wednesday.
