Erasing a 15-point deficit with a quarter to go was only the beginning of a furious comeback put on by the Tigers to triumph over one of the best large school teams in the Pirates 60-56 in overtime last weekend in Scappoose.

Cal Bullock's layup with 35 seconds left in regulation capped a 14-0 run by Napavine that started with five straight from Hudson Chambers, a Bullock triple and a Tyce Vigre bucket to make it a one-possession game. In the extra frame, Eric Bullock's trifecta gave the Tigers the lead at 57-54 and they never trailed again.

The first half was competitive with Marshfield only leading by three. It put an offensive showcase together in the third thanks to 24 points. The margin proved to be not enough to fend off Napavine, who split the two games against its fellow PNW foes.

Eric Bullock led the way with 17 points, one of four Tigers in doubke figures. Hudson Chambers posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards while Cal Bullock added 12 points and nine assists. Napavine returns to C2BL play on Friday on the road versus Morton-White Pass.
