No injuries reported in Monday morning house fire on East Van Buren Street in Centralia

No injuries were reported in a fire to a vacant residence, a travel trailer and a shed in the 200 block of East Van Buren Street early Monday morning.

One male occupant of a minivan on the property evacuated, but left a small dog behind, according to the Centralia Police Department. The dog, which was not harmed, was later taken out of the vehicle.

The fire was reported at about 5:35 a.m. on June 24. In addition to the involved structures, a  power line was reportedly on the ground, according to Centralia police.



The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Riverside Fire Authority was the primary responder.
