All northbound Interstate 5 lanes reopened at about 8:30 a.m. Friday near Exit 49 in Castle Rock after two car accidents.
The Washington State Department of Transportation issued the closure notice at 4:22 a.m. Friday.
The Washington State Patrol issued the reopening at about 8:15 a.m.
Specifically, the highway was closed at milepost 49.5.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Dakota Russell reported on X at 6:22 a.m. that traffic was being diverted off Exit 49.
Exit 49 is the turnoff for Peper's 49er and Amaro's Table.
He said troopers were on the scene of a different collision that was blocking the left two lanes when a car struck the back of one of the patrol vehicles.
He said the causing driver was arrested on suspicion of a DUI.
Details on those accidents have not yet been released.
