The Oakville baseball team took an early lead in Ocosta on Tuesday, but two big innings from the Wildcats were enough for Ocosta to hand the Acorns a 16-6 loss.

Oakville led 4-0 after two innings, but the Wildcats scored nine in the third and seven in the fourth to take a double-digit lead.

Joseph Charles hit a double and drove in two runs, while Koner Burnett also collected a hit and drove in a pair.

Dre Kluth reached base in all three of his plate appearances (a single and two walks), and he scored a run and drove in another.

Oakville (3-6) will look to snap a three-game losing streak on Friday in Cathlamet against Wahkiakum.
